My friends: Hunter, Tori, Aaron, and Kenna.
High school is viewed in both positive and negative ways; generally on how smooth that student's current life is going. Friendships build and destroy while some friendship blossom and continue to bloom for many years. Anyway high school is viewed, it impacts the student.
I am no different.
Sophomore year was a challenging year; I had no club or group I belong in, I refrained from expressing myself, I had my first break-up, and it seemed like a new world I was thrown into. One class, 2nd period every A day, I had Mixed Choir which was fun not only because I had the chance to continue improving my singing abilities but because that is where I met and really connected with two of my best friends: Tori and Hunter.
Hunter attended my middle school and besides seventh grade English class I don't remember much of him. Hunter is my buddy, no matter what I'm feeling or what is happening around us he always looks out for me. He is always encouraging others to be their best and always smiling causing it hard to even frown or be mad at the wonderful boy. Tori attended the other middle school that fed into my high school and she participated in that school's choir and enjoyed singing as much as me. Tori is the mom of our group; she is always willing to sacrifice for others and remind them how much they are loved. She is a fabulous listener and I can always trust her with whatever I'm saying. Even though we really didn't talk much during that year, I'm grateful that they were in that choir with me unknowingly building my confidence.
Junior year was a fabulous year; I made Madrigals, I reconnected with friend Kenna, I went to Prom, and it seemed like this new world wasn't as scary as it appeared to be. This was the year that some of my friendships built while some fell; my friendship with Tori, Hunter, and Kenna blossomed beautifully into something I learned to treasure. I also this spaztastic person who can constantly crack me into a smile, Aaron.
Kenna attended the same middle school of Hunter and I and we actually became great friends throughout those years. There were years we didn't talk often because of class schedules we always remained friends. Kenna is a nut ball, she is always acting crazy and making people laugh, she is always one to lighten the mood. She is so much like me that our conversations can shift to anything and we understand each other's logic perfectly. During that Junior year our friendship really took flight and I discovered a friend that no matterwhat I was or she was going through, even if we didn't talk all the time. I had met a friend for life. Throughout the year my friendship with Hunter, Tori, and Aaron all took flight as we soared together creating crazy memories.
Senior year has been a changing year; I made Madrigals, I worked throughout the school year, I discovered who my friends are, and it seemed like years had passed in the matter of months and I was soon being tossed into the world. This year was dedicated to changing because it seemed my life was always changing and flipping me around to see what it had to offer. Despite the difficulties of my friendships, life, and status changing four things remained solid along with my family; Hunter, Tori, Aaron, and Kenna.
Aaron is my spaztastic that can be a totally insane and completely aware of others feelings. Getting to know this boy and the random topics we talk about, it makes me cherish the friendships I have with guys and less drama that carries into your lives knowing them.
"Good friends are hard to find, harder to leave, and impossible to forget."
These past few years have been great, the memories and the stories we share will always strength the bond between us.
Thank you.
